Heal Leah

I know You are real.
You have power still,
The power to heal
This dear one so ill.

My friend hurts.
So I enter this session
Of fervent prayer
And faith-based intercession.

Heal this
Illness.

It's her Achilles Heel.
The serpent has struck her heel.
How can she climb that hill
With a bruised blue heel
As she lies here still --
Still not healed?

The hour is eleven --
We need power from Heaven.

The night is getting darker --
Her plight is getting starker.

O God, this disease
Has robbed her of ease
And plundered her peace.
So I ask Thee please:
Give her sweet relief,
The peace of release.

Raise Your child up from this,
Up from this bed of sickness.
Then she'll have a story
When to Your glory
My friend will bear witness.

No earthly idea
Can make whole
This sick soul.
So I call upon You,
Dear Lord,
To heal the ill Leah
And grant victory
In this war.

What's this glow that flows
Through my trembling arm?
Reaching my hand,
It feels real warm.
Hotter my limb gets
To my fingertips
Without any harm.
Let this never quit!

I can see a
Change in Leah.

I feel the need to kneel
And adore You, Lord, for
My friend is now healed.

We survive,
We revive,
We thrive
For You're alive.

Darren Doo Dares to Do

"Darren Doo,
Why do you
Dare to do?"

Cow gotta moo.
Dove gotta coo.
Spook gotta boo.
I gotta do.

Darren Doo's
Derring-do
Dares to do
That which you
Refuse to do.

I welcome you
To Darren Doo's
Doing School.
It's not cool
Not to do.
Use this tool,
You will rule
Over fools who
Stare and drool
At those who
Dare to do.

Derring-do
Dares to do
Things that you
Fear to do.

For if you
Fail to do
You will lose --
Yes it's true.

Losin' Lou,
Darren Doo --
Of the two
Which are you?

Me and you
Have a few
From which to
Pick and choose:
Much ado
And to-do
Or just do
What the few
Dare to do?

Feelin' blue?
Here's a clue:
Think of new
Dares to do.
Derring-do
Rescues you.

Those who move
They do prove
How to groove
And improve.

Tell me who
Hoots woo-hoo?
Yells yahoo?
I'll tell you:
It's the few
With derring-do.
It's they who
Dare to do
Like Darren Doo
Who woo-hoo
And yahoo too.

I Darren Doo
Dreamed I flew
Up and through
Skies so blue
Above the queues
Cars and crews
By derring-do,
Daring to do.
And who knew?
From a view
It turned true.

They Called Me Amazing Grace

(Grace Daniels has led an amazing life. Feeling the end of her earthly journey, the ailing matriarch gifts her granddaughter with a priceless pearl of spiritual wisdom.)

From the start
It's been my heart
To be a spark
In a world so dark.

No regret, no disgrace
The struggle was no waste --
I grew from my mistakes
Thanks to this grace, His grace.

Now I'm here in this place
Near to behold His face.

What shall I bequeath?
'Twas upon these knees
Where I found relief
Via my belief.

Precious little girl,
As you face the world
May this truth unfurl --
His grace is your pearl.

I shoulda died in Mother's womb
But I escaped from certain doom
And from that point and place
My first name became Grace.

I was called amazing
But one truth they did miss --
It's only by God's grace
That I finished my race --
My heart's hope and wish?
That you understand this.

Through the lows and the highs
I learned to train my eyes
Beyond the azure skies
On my eternal prize.

There were twists and turns
But thank God I learned
To place faith in a Grace
That I could never earn.

More than once I was told
I wouldn't last to be old,
Through sickness and disease
That seemed to never cease,
But in grace I gained peace,
By faith I found release.

I've been to the brink
Where I didn't think
I would make it back alive --
But in that dark hour
I turned to His power
And so I did survive.

To live this long
I had to be strong --
But it is a strength
With biblical depth
And spiritual length --
His grace was my song.

I walked away from crashes,
Confrontations and clashes,
Emerged I from the ashes,
Alive and well tho' blasted --
By His grace I have lasted.

There was the time
On a hike and climb
When I slipped and fell --
A pool of red I bled,
Given up for dead,
But God against the odds
Again made me well.

The devil tried to kill me
But Christ the Lord healed me --
By His grace and glory
I lived to tell my story.

Still there's so very much
I don't yet understand,
But I've trudged under the touch
Of His ever-guiding hand --
Trusting in Heaven's perfect plan.

How did I make it?
Why do I still breathe?
The bearded face of Grace
Shined each time upon me.

I've been through the fire and flame
But through all and everything,
I remained faithful to His name
And so to you, dear, I proclaim:
Then, now and yet He's the same --
His holy love will never change.

All I've achieved,
Praise heaped on me,
Traced to grace and He
In Whom I've believed.

So dear one so sweet,
Let faith guide your feet.

Never ever doubt your worth,
The value of your birth,
Your destiny on Earth.

It can be a rough place --
Thankfully, there's Grace.
