POP!

I look around
For blooms aground
That popped from the ground
But none yet are found.

Maybe a baby can walk
Before mastering the crawl?
In truth it's known by all:
This isn't true at all.

Whether birth or earth
If a thing has worth
Something must come first.

Has there ever been an instance
Of wishing into existence
Without traversing distance
Or overcoming resistance?

Does a dream pop into reality
Or will the magic happen gradually?

Do you know of any success
That manifests without process?

Can you cite a case
Where a goal is chased
With no steady pace?

What has been achieved
That hasn't been conceived
Then stubbornly believed?

Have I processed
That my progress
Is a process?

For better or worse
(More better than worse)
Steps tend to come first.
This seems to be the course
Of our elegant universe.

The answer to problems and prayers
May not appear out of thin air
But if I really do care
Eventually I will get there.
